Artist Statement & Resume:
Native to the Southeast Coast, Julie is fascinated by water. Her latest collection “Water Couture,” debuted in Charleston, SC at The John M. Dunnan Gallery. The collection speaks to the allure of light as it plays with water. She observed this dance of water and light most significantly while traveling the West Coast. “Water Couture” consisted of entirely original works, the result of a series of images of water moving in arrays of spectacular color..
Vibrancy of color reflecting native cultures seems to be the latest trend in Julie's works, as the last year has seen Julie travel throughout areas of Mexico and abroad in Europe. The result of these travels are two new series currently in production set to launch in the coming year.
